This could be discussed in PSHE about friendship and helping each other.It's definite: I love Scotton's illustrations--especially the humor he puts in them. :) My favorite part about this book is the illustrations! 106. We both agreed that the illustrations are fantastic.
I liked that Splat was a Secret Agent, and the secret gizmo, but I knew what it was anyways! However, mouse is only doing it as he’s lonely and wants a friend. Fans of Splat the cat will probably enjoy this one.

I've bought her approximately 30 books and this series is the one she's most excited to read. Everyday one is missing and one is returned. (Splat the Cat) Then they are mysteriously returned but, strangely enough, without their beaks! I loved Splat's rambling notes on his "cunning plan" to catch the culprit.
Not an overly memorable read.This story would be enjoyed for all primary ages and is about Splat who sets out to discover the cause of his father’s toy ducks disappearing. J'adore les petits problèmes! Initially purchased for a young neice, we are keeping it for ourselves in anticipation of our son's birth in the spring (someone else had already bought it for her). So cute and the storylines are entertaining.
This story was fun and silly, as are the other Scotton works I've read.
I love the humor Scotton puts into his pictures - like how Splat is Secret Agent 003 1/2!
